Biography
Allison Lane was born and raised in the John Hughes suburbs of Chicago: Wilmette, IL to be exact. She has been working steadily in front of the camera and on stage for most of her life.
THE WORK: Allison can currently be seen in the lead female role in the award winning comedic feature film “The Video Guys” (comedy, Silly Sisters Productions), for which she nominated for 2009 Best Actress at the Hoboken International Film Festival and won 2009 Best Actress in a Comedy Feature at the Long Island International Film Expo. She can also be seen starring in the feature films: "Liars and Lunatics" with Karen Lynn Gorney from "Saturday Night Fever" and "The Sopranos" (drama, Cube City Entertainment), “Victoriana” (drama, AppiaFilm), “Changing the Odds” (drama, Andeco Films/Cinema Arts Entertainment), Wreck (dramedy, Schiavo Productions), and co-starring in "A Four Letter Word" (comedy, Embrem Entertainment) and “American Standard” (comedy, In the Can Production). Allison has also recently shot lead roles in the short films "Fire+Escape"(romantic comedy, Gould Productions), "The Lonely Auditor" (comedy, Creative Mayhem Productions) “The Riverbank” (psychological thriller, OffStage Films), "The Retoucher" (suspense, Scott Lui Productions), "College Daze" (comedy, FairHaddad Productions), "The Launch" (mockumentary, Powell Productions), “Bump in the Road” (dramedy, Bulldog Productions), “Soul Mate” and “Don’t Argue” (romantic comedies, Allenwood Productions), and "In Between" (drama, Strangerfilms). She has been seen in numerous web series in leading and guest starring roles, including the Warner Brother's hit "Viralcom" (lead), heavy.com's hit "The Proposal", "The Retributioners", and the new hit web series created and written by Allison "The Morning Bitch". She has also filmed lead roles in the comedic Halloween TV special "The Amazing Johnathan Special" and in the independent pilot “Something Blue” (drama, Circle of Fire Productions), as well as guest starring roles in the Discovery Channel Pilot “It’s All Geek To Me.” She has also appeared several times on the sketch comedy show "Uncle Morty's Dub Shack" for ImaginAsian TV as well as doing a guest comedy spot in the pilot "Pets and the City". Allison has also recently appeared on the NYC Stage in “The East Village Chronicles” (Metropolitan Playhouse - Nyla, lead), and “Election Day” (Triad Theatre - Heather, lead).
TRIVIA: Allison has a $12 a week Orbit habit and enjoys truly bad singing, especially when done in harmony. She is also a film editor and runs her own production company: Reel Spiel Productions.
